Newport News, VA | Rosemont Traveled south to Christopher Newport to take on the NICKNAME in its Season Opener on the Road 

How it Happened: 

The Ravens came out playing tough defense against an aggressive Captains team that had 7 shots in the 1st half. The Captains scored with 7 minutes left in the half to break the tie. The Ravens ended the 1st with 1 shot on goal and 8 fouls on the pitch including 1 yellow card. 

The 2nd half saw more consistency from both sides as both teams went back and forth on until Captains scored at the 69th minute gaining a 2-0 lead. The Captains scored again 40 seconds later after Ravens turnover. The Ravens could not find the back of the net against CNU but played a challenging opponent but showed great defensive splashs from returners Aiden Sommers and Tai Torres.

Ravens look to bounce back against another tough opponent in Virginia Wesleyan.
