Rosemont fell behind early in the contest as the Patriots gained a 0-6 lead over the Ravens to open up the contest.
Lakay Holloway would respond getting to the paint to get the Ravens on the board.
Mojisola Shokeye closed out the first quarter for the Ravens with four straight points to cut the Patriots lead to two (11-13).
The Lady Ravens would open up the second quarter strong capturing the lead from the Patriots with a jumper from
Lakay Holloway.
Aniya McDaniel would drain a three to extend the Ravens lead to four points. Valley Forge would respond in the second quarter tying the game on two separate occasions, but the Ravens fought hard taking a five point lead going into the half after a three from
Symone Wilson to close out the half as the Ravens led 29-24.Â
Mojisola Shokeye would open up the second half with a jumper to extend the Ravens lead to seven. The Ravens defense would play hard holding Valley Forge to only eleven points in each of the 2nd and third quarters. This allowed the Ravens offense to build their lead in the third quarter.
Lakay Holloway would heat up ending the third and starting the fourth quarter scoring eight of the Ravens ten points in a short span build their lead to twelve. Battling to the finish the Lady Ravens would hold onto the lead and secure their first win of the season over conference foe Valley Forge 59-50.Â
Lakay Holloway would lead the Ravens with 20 points and zero turnovers followed by Mojisola Shoeye with 16 points and five rebounds.
