Four Double Digit Scorers as Ravens Win on the Road Versus Penn College of Technology

Williamsport, PA | The Ravens Traveled to Williamsport to take on the Penn College Wildcats in Bardo Gym for an United East Conference Matchup.

How it Happened: Starting for the Ravens was #01 Zaki Gomez, #02 Bruce Black, #13 Chris Taylor, #15 Dejuan Taylor, and #30 Brian Mordi.

Penn College would win the tip scoring on their first two possessions as the Ravens fell behind 4-0 early. Dejuan Taylor and Brian Mordi would respond taking the lead from the Wildcats 5-4 two minutes into the game. The Wildcats would go on a small run as the Ravens struggled offensively in the middle of first half, taking a eleven point lead over Rosemont (12-23). Kelton Warren would halt the run moving the momentum back to the Ravens throwing down a dunk in the paint. Bruce Black, Brian Mordi, and Dejuan Taylor would help claw the Ravens back into the game before the half came to a close; Taylor took the lead for the Ravens with a layup (34-32) going into halftime.

Zaki Gomez would open up the second half with a two threes as Rosemont opened up the half on a 8-2 run. The Ravens would continue to build upon their lead, ahead by eighteen after a Kelton Warren three pointer 60-42 with eleven minutes remaining. The Wildcats did not give up as the continued to fight back into the game, Penn would make a layup with six seconds remaining to cut the Ravens lead to one point, Bruce Black would make a free throw with two seconds remaining and hold onto the two point lead as Rosemont beat Penn College 73-71.

Rosemont was led by Brian Mordi with 16 points and 11 Rebounds, followed by Dejuan Taylor with 19 points and Zaki Gomez with 17 points and six assists.

What's Next:
The Ravens will close out their season at home with two games remaining. Rosemont will be back on the court Thursday as the welcome St. Mary's College of Maryland to Alumnae Hall for an United East Match-up at 5pm.
