Ravens (5-8) lose the series to St. Elizabeth in the United East Opening Series

Ravens lose Game 1 16-5

Despite the final score, this was a very close game throughout 7 innings. Starter Zach Nutley went 6 innings for the Ravens allowing 5 runs, 4 earned. Nutley struck out 2 batters as well.

Offensively, the Ravens got out in front early scoring 3 runs in the top of the first. Samson Gerner got the rally started for the Ravens thanks to an RBI single. Nolan Dunn joined in on the fun in the next at bat with a 2 RBI double. In the top of the third, Dunn added onto his day with a 2-run home run, to give the Ravens a 5-2 lead.

Senior captain Jamen Palladino became the 2nd player in Rosemont Baseball history to have his 100th career hit with a single in the 3rd inning.

Palladino had this to say after the game: "100 hits is a memory that I will have forever. It was even more special that I got to share it with my guy, Luke Franklin."  Shortly after Palladino's hit, senior short-stop Luke Franklin became the 3rd player in Rosemont Baseball history to collect his 100th career hit.

"100 hits is a really special achievement. I think it's a testament to the work me, Samson, and Jamen have all put in over the last 4 years. It was even better to be able to do it the same game as Jamen" - Luke Franklin
