Rosemont, PA | The Rosemont Ravens Softball Team Welcomed The Cougars of Misericordia to the Rosemont Athletic Complex for a Double Header starting at 3pm.
How it Happened:
Game One:
Starting on the mound for the Ravens was #12 Josie Krieman.

Top of the first inning the Cougars would score two runs before Krieman would strikeout the last batter off the inning. The Ravens would respond in the bottom of the inning with a two out rally started by a single from Emilee Dickenson. Bailee Greise would single, followed by Maria Harrison with another single to load the bases for the Ravens. Olivia Hamme would reach on a throwing error scoring two runs for the Ravens to tie the game. Misericordia would score four runs in the top of the second inning to recapture the lead. Rosemont would battle in the bottom of the inning as Josie Krieman singled followed by Kendyll Strohl would would reach on an error. Alicia Gotts would reach on another error scoring Krieman. Emilee Dickenson would walk the next at bat to load the bases for the Ravens with one out. Bailee Greise would ground out scoring another run for the Ravens as the second inning would en 4-6.
In the Bottom on the third inning MyLayna Blanco would single with two outs bringing up Josie Krieman would would double into the outfield gap scoring Blanco to bring the Ravens within one run (5-6). Misericordia would tack on another run in the top of the fifth inning extending their lead to 5-7 over the Ravens. Rosemont would battle but struggled to find hits in the fifth an sixth innings. The Ravens would fall to the Cougars 5-11 in Game One.

Game Two:
Starting on the mound for the Ravens in game two was #7 Alicia Gotts.

In the top of the first inning Alicia Gotts would go 1-2-3 to start the game bringing the Ravens up to bat. Kendyll Strohl would lead off with a single followed by a single by Alicia Gotts to put runners on the corners with no outs. Gotts would steal second, as Bailee Greise would ground out scoring Strohl giving the Ravens a 1-0 advantage to end the first inning. The Cougars remained hitless after 2 innings before an error would allow a runner in the top of the third for the Cougars, they would score four runs in the top of the third to take the lead over the Ravens. In the bottom of the fourth inning, The Cougars would change pitchers as Maria Harrison would lead off with a single followed by another single by Olivia Hamme. Kylee Kubitschek would sacrifice bunt to score a run for the Ravens shrinking the Cougars lead 2-5. In the top of the fifth inning the Cougars would score seven runs on the Ravens as they made two errors in the field, unable to respond in the bottom of the fifth the game ended 2-12.

The Ravens will be at Haverford College to take on the Fords March 18th for a Double Header starting at 3pm. Go Ravens!
