Haverford, PA | The Rosemont Ravens Softball Team Traveled Down County Line to Take on Haverford College on the Home Field.
How it Happened:
Game One: Starting pitching for the Ravens was #7 Alicia Gotts.
Gotts would have a strong performance pitching for the Ravens as she would allow three runs in the first two innings but rebound for her team only allowing four runs through five innings. The Ravens offense struggled to find gaps in The Fords defense as they limited their strikeouts, drawing walks, but left a runner on base in every inning, In top of the sixth inning, Emillee Dickinson would lead off with a walk for the Ravens, followed by
Bailee Greise who would reach on a fielders choice. a past ball would put her at second with two outs before
Maria Harrison would hit a double into the outfield gap scoring Greise for the Ravens first run. They would move to the bottom of the sixth trailing 1-4.
Caitlin LaGreca would come in to pitch for the Ravens with the bases loaded, as Haverford would close out the Ravens 10-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Game Two: Starting pitching for the Ravens was #12 Josie Krieman.
Kendyl Strohl would lead off the Ravens with a single, as
Alicia Gotts would move her over with a sacrifice bunt. Strohl would reach third on a wild pitch but the Ravens were unable to bring her home to start the game. Haverford would lead get to Krieman in the bottom of the first tallying four runs to build a lead for the Fords. Caitlin Lagreca would come into to pitch for the Ravens in the bottom of the second, Haverford would build their lead to 13 over the Ravens before Emilee Dickenson would launch a 2-run Homer for the Ravens. With a great effort at the end, Rosemont would lose both games to Haverford.
What's Next?
The Ravens will be on the road versus Arcadia on Wednesday 3/19 with the double header starting at 4:30pm. Go Ravens!
