Bryn Mawr, PA | The Ravens Welcomed The Patriots of Valley Forge University to The Rosemont Athletic Complex for a Double-header Starting at 12pm.
How it Happened:
Game One: Starting pitching for the Ravens was #12
Josie Krieman.
Krieman would get out to a strong start for the Ravens, striking out two of the first three batters. In the second inning she would strikeout the side tallying five Strikeouts through two innings. In the bottom of the inning,
Maria Harrison would hit a Home Run to left-center with two outs to give the Ravens a 1-0 advantage.
Kylee Kubitschek would follow Harrison with a triple but the Ravens were unable to bring her home as they led 1-0 going to the third. Krieman would add another strikeout in the top of the third holding the Patriots scoreless. She would walk to lead off the Ravens in the bottom of the third, followed by a single by
Kendyll Strohl.
Alicia Gotts would double into the gap scoring Krieman, followed by a single by Emilee Dickenson scoring Strohl. The Ravens would strand the bases loaded in the third as they built a 3-0 lead over the Patriots. In the top of the fourth inning Krieman would tally her career 100th strikeout as she would strike out three batters looking.Â
Valley Forge would get on the board in the top of the sixth inning, but Rosemont responded in the bottom of the inning extending their lead back to three runs 4-1.
Rosemont would hang on in the top of the seventh to secure the victory over Valley Forge in Game One 4-1.
Krieman would lead the Ravens with 7.0 IP 5 hits allowed, 1 Earned Run and 11 strikeouts.Â
Game Two: Starting Pitching for the Ravens was #32 Caitlin LeGreca.
In the top of the first inning, The Ravens would turn a double play to end the inning. Followed by a single by Emilee Dickenson in the bottom of the inning, unable to bring her home the Ravens would move to the top of the second. Scare free in the top of the second, the Ravens would add three runs in the bottom of the inning as
Bailee Greise led off with a double, followed by an inside the park effort by
Maria Harrison as she scored along with Greise.
Kylee Kubitschek would draw a hit by pitch followed by a double by
Rose Chando to give the Ravens a 3-0 lead. Adding to the lead in the bottom of the third inning as Emilee Dickenson doubled followed by a walk by
Olivia Hamme. Heads up base running would put two runners in scoring position as Harrison would triple scoring two for the Ravens. Kubitschek would single with two outs scoring Harrison as the Ravens extendined their lead 6-0. In the bottom of the fourth the Ravens would add four more runs. Back to back singles by
Alicia Gotts and Emilee Dickenson would bring up
Olivia Hamme as she doubled scoring both runners.
Bailee Greise would followed with a double of her own adding on to the Ravens lead.
Kylee Kubitschek would single into the outfield scoring Greise as the Ravens led 10-0 going into top of the fifth. The Patriots would add two runs in the top of the fifth as the Ravens win by eight runs after five innings, 10-2.Â
Leading the way for the Ravens was Emilee Dickenson tallying 3 hits and 2 runs for the Ravens.
Maria Harrison would have a day with a Home Run in game one followed by another impressive performance in game two.
