Washington, D.C. | The Rosemont Ravens Traveled to D.C. to take on Gallaudet University at the GU Softball Field.
How it Happened:
Game One: Starting pitching for the Ravens was #12 Josie Krieman.
Coming off a ten strikeout appearance versus Valley Forge, Josie would continue to pitch well versus The Bison, tallying eleven strikeouts on two hits and one walk.
In the first inning,
Alicia Gotts would reach on an error by the bison leading to heads up base running to get her on third base.
Olivia Hamme would single to right scoring Gotts to give the Ravens a 1-0 lead. Krieman would strikeout the side in the bottom of the inning. In the fourth inning
Bailee Greise would lead off the Ravens with a triple followed by a hard hit ball by
Maria Harrison as heads up base running would give the Ravens a 3-1 lead.
Rose Chando would triple with one out followed by a single from
Josie Krieman to score Chado.
Kendyll Strohl would reach on an error followed by a single by
Alicia Gotts and a double by Emilee Dickenson to extend the Ravens lead still with one out. Greise would single with two out scoring Dickenson followed by a hard hit ball by
Kylee Kubitschek that would create an error on the defense giving the Ravens a 10-0. The Ravens would extend their lead in the top of the fifth inning as
Josie Krieman led of with a single followed by a double by Strohl scoring Krieman. Emilee Dickenson would hit a sacrifice fly to left scoring Strohl to give the Ravens a 12-1 lead.
Josie Krieman would close out the Bison in the bottom of the fifth as the Ravens win 12-1.
Game Two: #32 Caitlin LaGreca would start pitching for the Ravens.
Rosemont would score early with one out as
Kendyll Strohl would find home on a passed ball, followed by a walk by Dickenson and a single by
Olivia Hamme would put two runners on.
Maria Harrison would reach on an error scoring another two runs for the Ravens to give them a 3-0 lead. Gallaudet would respond with two runs of their own in the bottom of the first and capture the lead 6-3 in the bottom of the second inning.
Josie Krieman would come in to pitch for the Ravens in the bottom of the third immediately striking out two batters to get the Ravens out of a jam. The Ravens would rally in the top of the fourth inning as Krieman led off with a walk, scoring on a throwing error.
Alicia Gotts would single and reach third on past balls, Dickenson would drive her home with a triple to left field.
Olivia Hamme would draw a walk followed by a triple by Greise to give the Ravens a 7-6 lead forcing the Bison to change pitchers. Rosemont would tack on two more runs in the inning as
Maria Harrison would single on a bunt scoring Greise, followed by a single by
Rose Chando to build the Ravens lead 9-6. Krieman would pick up where she left the first game tallying ten total strikeouts and twenty-one on the day. The Ravens would add to their lead in the top of the fifth as Krieman drew a walk and Dickenson would single scoring Krieman. In the top of the seventh inning the Ravens would add five more runs extending their lead 16-6 taking down the Bison on the road.

The Ravens will be back in action on Saturday at Home as they look forward to Senior Day welcoming Saint Elizabeth University to the Rosemont Athletic Complex with games starting at 12pm. Go Ravens!
