Bryn Mawr, PA | The Rosemont Ravens Welcomed the Geese of Washington College (MD) to The Rosemont Athletic Complex for a Non-Conference Double Header.
How it Happened: Starting pitching for the Ravens in Game One was #32 Caitlin LeGreca.
LeGreca would get through the top of the first inning unsaved as
Kendyll Strohl would lead off the Ravens with a double. Emilee Dickenson would draw a walk followed by a double steal putting runners on second and third as Strohl would score on the throw giving the Ravens the lead 1-0. LeGreca would lead the Ravens scoreless through the third as they would add onto their lead.
Josie Krieman would draw a walk followed by a double by
Alicia Gotts scoring Krieman. Gotts would steal third followed by a sac fly by Emilee Dickenson to extend the Ravens lead 3-0. The Geese would get to LeGreca in the top of the fourth inning scoring one run to cut the Ravens lead to two. In the top of the seventh inning a rally by Washington College would give them the lead 5-3 before
Josie Krieman would come into pitch the last out for the Ravens. Rosemont would respond in the bottomof the inning as
Josie Krieman led off with a single,
Kendyll Strohl would follow with a double scoring Krieman with no outs. Emilee Dickenson would single scoring Strohl before
Olivia Hamme would walk it off for the Ravens with a double off the wall in left field. The Ravens would win game 6-5.Â
Game Two: #7 Alicia Gotts would Start Pitching for the Ravens Game Two.
Gotts would come out strong forcing three ground outs for the Geese. Washington college would have a small rally in the top of the second as Gotts was able to escape a two out jam. The Ravens offense was did not show up the first time through the order, but in the bottom of the fourth, The Ravens responded tying up the game.
Kendyll Strohl would lead off with a single, followed by a double by
Alicia Gotts scoring Strohl.
Olivia Hamme would ground into a fielders choice scoring Gotts to tie up the game 2-2. In the top of the fifth inning The geese would score two runs off of an error on Rosemont to take the lead 2-4. The Ravens would not give up as
Rose Chando would lead off with a single followed by a double by
Josie Krieman scoring Chando.
Kendyll Strohl would pull a ball to left field that would carry over the wall for her first homer of the year to give the Ravens a 5-4 advantage in the bottom of the fifth.
Josie Krieman would come into pitch for the Ravens in the top of the sixth inning and shut down the Geese giving Rosemont the win 5-4.
What's Next: The Ravens will be at Home on Thursday as they Welcome Keystone College for a Double Header Starting at 3pm.
