Bryn Mawr, PA | The Rosemont Ravens Welcomed the Eagles of Saint Elizabeth University to the Rosemont Athletic Complex to Celebrate Senior Day.
How it Happened: Rosemont honored their four seniors before the game #7 Alicia Gotts, #19 Kylee Kubitschek, #21 Kendyll Strohl, and #24 Olivia Hamme.
Starting pitching for the Ravens was #12
Josie Krieman who would tally eight strikeouts and two walks on 129 pitches in the contest.Â
The Eagles would strike first in the top of the second inning with two stolen bases to score a run as the Ravens would trail 0-1. Hitless until the bottom of the fourth inning Senior
Kendyll Strohl would single down the left side for the Ravens getting their first base runner. Senior
Alicia Gotts would reach for the Ravens followed by a walk by Emilee Dickenson to load up the bases.
Olivia Hamme would single scoring the Ravens first run, but the would strand three as the trailed 1-2 to end the fourth inning. Krieman would continue to lead the ravens with her pitching keeping the Ravens within one run headed to the bottom of the sixth inning. Emilee Dickenson would lead off with double for the Ravens putting runner in scoring position for the Ravens with no outs. Senior
Olivia Hamme would drive in pitch runner MyLana Blanco to tie up the game 2-2 still with no outs. Senior Kylee Kunitschek would single with two outs for the Ravens putting runners at he corner but the Eagles would get out of the jam. In the bottom of the seventh
Kendyll Strohl would single with one out but the Ravens would strand her at second as they headed to extras. In the top of the eighth inning Krieman would remain on the mound for the Ravens as the Eagles would score on a passed ball.
Olivia Hamme would lead off with a single for the Ravens in the bottom of the eight inning but three consecutive outs for the Ravens they would fall fighting 2-3.Â
Game Two: Senior #7 Alicia Gotts started on the mound for The Ravens as they set off the second game versus the Eagles.
The Eagles would score one run in the top of the fist inning as Gotts would strikeout one in the first.
Kendyll Strohl would lead off with a single for the Ravens but would remain at first as the first inning came to a close. The Eagle would tack on another run in the top of the second on a wild pitch.
Bailee Greise would double to lead of in the bottom of the second inning for the Ravens but would remain at second as the Ravens failed to bring her home. In the top of the fourth inning Saint Elizabeth would get to the Ravens defense for six runs to take an 0-8 lead over Rosemont. In the bottom of the fifth inning
Josie Krieman would lead off with a walk but the Ravens were not able to bring her home as the game ended 0-8 in favor of the Eagles.
What's Next: The Ravens Softball will be back in action on Tuesday April 8th at 3pm on the road at MSI Sports Complex as the take on Penn State Brandywine.Â
