Ravens Take on Muhlenberg in Non-Conference Matchup

Laureldale, PA| The Rosemont Ravens Baseball Program traveled to Muhlenberg University, taking on the Mules at Bicentennial Park.

Larson Greenlee got the midweek start for the Ravens as they took on the Mules in a non-conference start. He made quick work in the first, forcing soft contact on the Mules for a clean frame. In the top of the second, Isaac Gugman singled with one out, as Brody Lykes followed with another single, putting two on. The Ravens were unable to drive them home as the game remained scoreless.

Jimmy Rodier came in for the bottom of the second, getting two quick outs, and the Mules tacked on two to take the early lead. Rosemont responded in the third as Chase Masten led off with a walk, followed by a double from Joe Bentivegna. Brandon Peake drove home a run, reaching on an error by the mules. Caiden Spinelli drove in the second to tie up the game at two apiece. Justin Gonzalez came in for the bottom of the third, getting a quick first out, the Mules scored six in the frame as the Ravens' defense had two errors, not helping Gonzalez on the mound.

Solomon Denmark came in for the fourth, with some traffic, limiting the damage to only one run. In the top of the fifth, Rosemont's offense went to work early as Brandon Peake led off with a triple. Spinelli drove in his second run to cut into the Mules' lead, but the spark fizzled out as Alex Rausch came in for the bottom of the inning. On eleven pitches, Rausch forced weak contact, forcing a double play and striking out his last batter.  In the top of the sixth, Ryan Bowman led off with a single as Masten was hit by a pitch, and Betivegna followed with a walk to load the bases with one out. The Ravens were unable to bring them home as the Mules maintained their lead (8-5).  The Mules' offense caught fire in the sixth and seventh, and they went on to defeat the Ravens 3-13 after seven innings.
