Michael Denton

Coach Mike Denton enters his second season as an Pitching Coach.

In 2025, Coach Denton served as the Head Junior Varsity Coach, leading the development of Rosemont’s underclassmen through a 12-game schedule against NCAA Division III and NJCAA Region 19 opponents.

A native of Country Club Hills, Illinois, Denton began his collegiate career at Prairie State College (Chicago Heights, IL), where he earned his Associate’s degree in 2021 and captained the baseball team as a pitcher from 2019–2021. He later transferred to Rosemont College, where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management in 2023 and his Master of Business Administration in 2024.

At Rosemont, Denton was a member of the inaugural baseball team and served as team captain during the 2023 and 2024 seasons. He finished his collegiate career with the most pitching appearances in program history over the team’s first three seasons.

Academically, Denton was named CSAC All-Academic in 2022 and United East All-Academic in both 2023 and 2024. He was also honored as the inaugural recipient of the Baseball Coach’s Award in 2024.

Beyond the field, Denton gained valuable administrative experience interning with the Rosemont Athletic Department and later serving as a Graduate Assistant to Athletic Director Rich Casey throughout the 2023–2024 academic year. He also held leadership roles as President and Conference Representative of the Rosemont Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (RSAAC).

In the summer of 2022, Denton competed internationally with Old World Baseball in Prague Baseball Week, pitching against the Czech National and Spain National Baseball Teams.

Coach Denton currently resides in Wilmington, Delaware.
