Assistant Coach Kristan DeVine (2nd season)
HS: Sankofa Freedom Academy Charter School (2017)
Head Coach: G2G Elite AAU team
Coach DeVine joined the Rosemont Ravens Women's basketball coaching staff for the 2022-2023 season, bringing over 3 years of head basketball coaching experience at the high school, A.A.U. levels. Coach Kristan DeVine returns to Rosemont for her second season as Lead Assistant Coach.
Coach DeVine has been training for these moments as a college coach since before she could remember. As a four year starter in high school and coming only 25 points shy of scoring 1000 points at Sankofa Freedom Academy, Coach DeVine understands hard work. She demonstrates great leadership and passion for continuous learning and winning.
Kristan was recruited to play at Rosemont college after high school, and played her freshman year. Having a tough time being able to fit into the coaching style, she spent a lot of time building her IQ and understanding for the game. That time spent in her first year was both humbling and enlightening, in that she learned so much about college basketball and building a successful program.
Kristan is a head coach for the girls team at “G2G” (Glory to God) Elite A.A.U. Basketball in Philadelphia. She coached alongside many great coaches who have mentored her and contributed to her development as a coach. Kristan was on the staff of one of youth teams that represented Pennsylvania at the East Coast Jr. NBA nationals. Several times throughout the summers Coach DeVine conducts skills developmentals, and she has participated in many camps held by City Councilman Isiah Thomas. She served as a lead developmental coach and mentor.
New Woman’s Head Coach, Christina Floyd was excited to add Coach DeVine to her staff, and they look forward to putting in the hard work to rebuild Rosemont women’s basketball success! “It’s gonna take hard work, major recruiting, and commitment to excellence, but I truly believe we will be successful in the near future!” Coach DeVine
