ROSEMONT – The Ravens saw some daylight towards the end of their match against the visiting Mighty Macs of Immaculata University, but the Macs shut the door to keep the Ravens off of the board late in the third set, defeating Rosemont in a humid Alumnae Hall by a 3-0 count (25-11, 25-14, 25-21). With the result the Ravens fell to 2-18 overall (1-6 CSAC). Immaculata, in a battle for a CSAC postseason berth, upped their overall record to 13-6 (3-2 CSAC).
Eve Romanowski was all over the floor and all over the stat sheet for the Ravens, leading the team in attacks (31), kills(7), and digs (10).
Lexy Mrongowius added 18 assists to her season total which now stands at 249. She needs 69 more assists over Rosemont's final five matches to set the Rosemont all-time assists record in a single season, currently held by Kerri Bernatowicz in 1993. Mrongowius had two service aces to top the Ravens in tonight's contest.
The Ravens travel to Baptist Bible for a tri-match on Saturday, 10/18. Their first match on Saturday will be a CSAC contest against the host Defenders at 11:00am, followed by a 1:00pm match against Rutgers-Newark in a non-conference match.
