CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – The Rosemont volleyball team were defeated by 3-0 scores in a tri-match held at Baptist Bible today.
Match 1 – Rosemont @ Baptist Bible
The host Defenders were challenged in the first game by the Ravens, but Baptist Bible took the first set 25-21. The momentum earned in that first set was set in motion as BBC defeated Rosemont by set scores of 25-17 and 25-14 in the 2nd and 3rd sets.
Leilani Carter and Eve Romanowski each scored seven kills while Lexy Mrongowius was credited with 21 assists. Romanowski also led the Ravens in digs with 10.
Match 2 – Rosemont vs. Rutgers-Newark
The Scarlet Raiders of Rutgers-Newark won their three sets over the Ravens by scores of 25-15, 25-14 and 25-13.
Eve Romanowski had 10 kills and three block assists. Nadirah Anderson had 14 digs and Lexy Mrongowius led the Ravens with 18 assists in the match.
With the results of the tri-match the Raven's overall record fell to 2-20 (1-7 CSAC).
The Ravens next return home when they host the Neumann University Knights on Tuesday, 10/21 for a CSAC match. The match is scheduled for a 7pm start in Alumnae Hall.
