ROSEMONT – The Rosemont volleyball team's record fell to 1-11 overall tonight after getting swept by the visiting Nittany Lions of Penn State – Brandywine in straight sets (25-13, 25-19, 25-15).
In each of the sets the Ravens hung with the Nittany Lions, but in each set as PSU-Brandywine started to open up leads, the Ravens could not find the answers to scratch back in.
With the win, PSU-Brandywine improved to 9-5 on the season overall.
Nadirah Anderson and Eve Romanowski were strong on the Rosemont back line, notching nine and eight digs respectively. Leilani Carter had six kills to lead the Ravens, while teammate Morgan Rollins returned to the lineup tonight to earn five kills. Carter had three solo blocks to lead the Ravens in that statistical category.
The Ravens return to Alumnae Hall on Saturday when they host CSAC opponent Centenary at 12pm and then face Wesley College at 4pm in a tri-match here at Rosemont. This will be the second time that the Ravens will face the Wolverines, who swept Rosemont in their first match-up this year down in Dover, Del.
