ROSEMONT – It took 4:34 until the Ravens even yielded a field goal attempt by the visiting Baptist Bible College Defenders, and by that time Rosemont reeled off the first nine points of the game. They would score the first 12 and never be challenged as Rosemont (6-9, 3-4 CSAC) won tonight's conference game against Baptist Bible (1-11, 1-6 CSAC) by a final score of 86-25. The win was the third straight for Rosemont and their second straight conference win.
The Ravens would take a hefty 46-13 advantage in to the half. The good defense and offense by the Ravens continued as the Ravens would outscore the Defenders by a 40-12 count in the second half leading to the final score.
Liz Coyne rang up her 9th double-double of the season, leading the Ravens with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Jasmyn Parker would score a career-high 14 points while Dominique Sellers scored 12 with six steals and Olivia Crenny notched 11 points with five assists. Brianna Macauley was strong in the low post with nine rebounds.
The Defenders' leading scorer was Megan Wagner who had seven points and five rebounds.
The Ravens stay at home for their next game, which will be against Bryn Mawr College on Wednesday, 1/21. The tip-off against the Owls is slated for 7:00pm.
