IMMACULATA – Rosemont's Liz Coyne led the Ravens with 15 points and 14 rebounds to notch her 6th double-double of the season, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Immaculata Mighty Macs in tonight's CSAC game as Immaculata defeated Rosemont by a final score of 74-53. The Ravens fell to 3-8 overall (1-3 CSAC) while Immaculata improved to 6-6 (3-0 CSAC).
The Ravens trailed for the entire game as Immaculata ran off to a 10-3 lead in the first five minutes and were never seriously threatened after that point. The Mighty Macs carried their then-largest lead of the game, 17 points, into the halftime break with a 41-24 advantage.
Rosemont was able to play more closely with Immaculata in the 2nd half, outscored by only four points in the frame (33-29), but the outcome was never in doubt through the last 20 minutes of play. Immaculata led by as many as 28 points with 4 ½ minutes left in the contest, but Rosemont outscored the home side by a count of 9-2 down the stretch to account for the final margin.
The Ravens will try to put tonight's game behind them when they return home for a CSAC game on Saturday, 1/10 when they face the Marywood Pacers. Game time is slated for a 1:00pm start.
