ROSEMONT – The Rosemont College volleyball team gave the visiting Arcadia University Knights all they could handle tonight, but the Knights were able to just hold off the Ravens to take the 3-0 decision (25-21, 25-19, 26-24) in tonight's non-conference match in Alumnae Hall. The Ravens dropped to 1-11 overall while Arcadia moved to 6-8.
The Ravens hung with the Knights all evening, as the first set featured two lead changes and four tie scores, the second set had seven tie scores and the final set had four tie scores.
Leading the Ravens on the front line was Nadirah Anderson who had three blocks. Leilani Carter had two blocks, while Morgan Rollins had a block and 14 kills, which led Rosemont in that stat category.
Sabrina Heggan had another good night setting up her teammates with 19 assists while Maria Athanasiadis had nine digs in the match to lead the Ravens.
The Ravens were outdueled from the service line, as Arcadia had seven aces compared to Rosemont's one.
Next up for the Ravens will be Gwynedd Mercy in a conference match on Satudray, 10/3 starting at 11:00am in Alumnae Hall.
