Radnor, Pa. - Thank goodness for indoor tennis facilities. Today's dreary and damp weather forced today's CSAC match vs. the visiting Keystone Giants (1-6, 1-4 CSAC) to be played at the Radnor Racquet Club, with the Giants defeating the Ravens, 7-2. Rosemont fell to 0-8 (0-5 CSAC) with the result.
Keystone got off to a good start in the match, winning all three doubles matches. Rosemont's tandem of Donald Tees and Vito DiSanti played the Keystone #1 doubles tandem tough, but coming up short, 6-8. The Ravens lost the #2 doubles, 3-8, and the third doubles, 1-8.
The Giants needed to win only two of the singles matches to win the day, and they ended up taking four. Donald Tees won his first singles match of the season. In the #2 flight, Tees won the match 8-4. Dan Bowden won the other singles match for Rosemont, coming away with an 8-2 win in the #6 flight. Vito DiSanti's #3 singles match was a close one, but Keystone came away with the 9-7 win.
The Ravens continue their hectic late-season schedule. Tomorrow they will host Baptist Bible in a CSAC match at 1:00pm. It will be Senior Day, and Don Tees will be recognized by his team. On Sunday, the Ravens will travel to Marywood to close out their CSAC schedule, before completing their regular-season schedule at Bryn Athyn on Tuesday, 4/14.
