How It Happened

The Ravens showed up at Hood College for today's tri-match with hopes of turning around their winless season thus far. Unfortunately, Rosemont were defeated at the hands of York and host Hood to remain winless for their 2016 campaign.

In the first match the Ravens had difficulty getting things going against the Spartans, losing by 18 points in the first set. Unfortunately, things didn't get better for the Ravens in sets 2 & 3, losing by 13 and 12 points in those sets respectively.

In their second match the Ravens could muster only four points in the opening set. The team played better in the 2nd set against the Blazers, but still were defeated by 15 points. The Ravens rallied in the third set to make it interesting, but Hood held off the Ravens in a close one, with the Ravens losing the set by only two points, 25-23.

Up Next

The Ravens will need to figure out their early-season malaise soon, as they open up their conference schedule this coming Thursday, 9/22, against the Gwynedd Mercy Griffins. Rosemont has come up short in the last 20 straight matches against their conference rivals.
