Raven’s Downtown Heat Scalds Pacers

Set Program Record With 13 Three-Point Buckets in Single Game

ROSEMONT, Pa. (Alumnae Hall) – The Rosemont Ravens shot 13-for-25 from beyond the arc to set a new single-game program record on their way to a decisive 86-62 CSAC victory over the visiting Marywood Pacers. The win was the third consecutive for the Ravens who moved above the .500 mark since opening the season with a 2-1 record. The Ravens improved their CSAC record to 8-4. The Pacers fell to 3-16 (3-9 CSAC) for the season.

The Pacers came out trotting out of the gate, after treys by James Curley and Jeremy Ringland, followed by a Dexter Shy layup put the visitors on top 8-0 after only 2:23 elapsed. The Ravens reacted in a big way, storming back with a 16-0 run to grab the 16-8 lead, and never trailing the rest of the way.

With Rosemont ahead by only six points, 19-13 with 11:29 left in the half, the Ravens shifted into a higher gear, starting with an Andrew Michaels layup followed by a three-ball from Mekhi Clemons to put the Ravens back up by double-digits, 24-13 with nine minutes left in the half. It kept raining threes for the Ravens for the rest of the half, coming out of the hands of Itay Levy, Zach Gober, Khai Roberts (2), Charles Presley, and Clayton Wolfe to help the Ravens go into the locker room in front by 21 points, 46-25, and apparently to allow the basketball rims to cool down.

Two layups by Alex Epps-Ortiz opened the second half to put Rosemont in front by 25 points, and from that point Marywood was not able to get their deficit down to less than 20 points for the remainder of the game.

The 13 three-balls from the Ravens were the most in a single-game for Rosemont, eclipsing the old record of 12, set against Clarks Summit on 1/30/2026, almost exactly one year earlier.

Khai Roberts hit from deep five times in today's game, just one shy of the individual single-game record of six three-point baskets, set most recently by Charles Presley at Clarks Summit in that game on 1/30/2016.

Roberts led the Ravens with 19 points on the day, 15 coming from beyond the arc, where he hit on five of seven shots taken. Kyle Lafferty also hit double-digits today with 13 points.

The Pacers had three players in double figures today led by 19 points from Connor Shroyer (8-for-12 from the field), 15 from Jeremy Ringland (6-for-7 shooting), and 10 from James Curley.

The obvious difference between the two teams on the box score was the three-point field goal shooting, with Rosemont hitting 13-for-25 (52%) vs. Marywood's 4-for-11 (36.4%). The Ravens out-rebounded the Pacers 33-27 (13-to-8 offensively), leading to 12 more shots taken (60 vs. 48). Fourteen of the 16 Ravens who entered today's game scored at least two points.

Next up for the Ravens is a clash with neighboring CSAC-rival Cabrini in Alumnae Hall on Wednesday, 2/1. It will be Ravens Rally Night with giveaways, raffles, and free food on offer. The men's game is scheduled for an 8:00pm tip, following the women's doubleheader opener when they will host the Notre Dame (Maryland) Gators starting at 6:00pm.
