Five Ravens Hit Double Figures In Convincing Conference Road Win

ALLENTOWN– The Rosemont Ravens Women's basketball team used a huge output from Freshman Ke'alohilani Naone-Carter to fly away from the host Cedar Crest College Falcons by a final of 87-50. Naone-Carter finished with 37 points and pulled down a game high 18 rebounds. With the win the Ravens improved to 4-15 (2-8 CSAC), while the Falcons dropped to 3-13 (1-9 CSAC).

The teams traded opening baskets to start the game just 44 seconds in. With the score tied at 2-2 Ke'alohilani Naone-Carter embarked on a solo 5-0 run to make it 7-2. A bucket by the Falcons Shemeca Thompson slowed things down briefly, before another Rosemont run of 6-1 finished off by a Jasmyn Parker jumper at the 4:29 mark had the Ravens up 13-5. Taylor Osley hit a three to pull Cedar Crest within five 13-8. A Ke'alohilani Naone-Carter jump shot began a 9-4 push closed out by a Shirle Brown free throw to wrap up the first quarter, 22-12 Rosemont.

Cedar Crest got as close as seven in the second at 3:54 into the period on a basket by Geminii Cabrera at 26-19. Kiley Stevens stroked a triple to send the Ravens on a 15-5 flight over the final minutes and they went to the locker room up 41-24.

Rosemont runs of 6-0, 6-0 and 8-0 paced the Ravens in the third en-route to outscoring the Falcons 27-12 to take a 68-36 lead to the fourth.

The Falcons opened the final frame on a 7-0 run to cut the lead down to 25. Ke'alohilani Naone-Carter would convert a three-point play 3:48 into the quarter for the Ravens' first points. With 4:44 left Rosemont went crazy as they flew past Cedar Crest, outgunning them 16-2 for the rest of the game to leave Allentown victorious, 87-50
