Ravens Blanked By Defenders

Final Stats

ROSEMONT- The Rosemont men's tennis team was defeated this afternoon by the Clarks Summit University Defenders by a final of 9-0. With the loss the Ravens dropped to 0-4 (0-1 CSAC), while the Defenders improved to 2-2 (2-0 CSAC).

In singles, Rosemont lost all six individual matchups. The best performer was Nick Tortorella who won two games in a 6-0, 6-2 defeat. Single games were won by Luis Castillo (2nd singles), Dan Suarez (3rd singles) and Merhawi Tesfay (6th singles).

In doubles, the Ravens' best chance to earn a point in the team score came from the first pair of Luis Castillo and James Finney who fell 8-5 in a tightly contested affair. The other two matches were taken by the visiting Defenders 8-0 and 8-0.

Up next, Rosemont will travel to Scranton, Pa. on Friday for a CSAC contest against the Marywood University Pacers. First serve is set for 3:30pm.
