Clemons, Presley lead Ravens over Cyclones

ROSEMONT, Pa -- The schedule is about to get a lot tougher. But Rosemont's men's basketball team has some solid wind in its sails as the Colonial States Athletic Conference season starts to turn for home.
Mekhi Clemons scored 17 points while Charlies Presley chipped in 15 as the Ravens own their four game in a row and fifth in the past six with a 86-67 win over Centenary Saturday afternoon at Alumnae Hall.
The Ravens continue to hold the line within the CSAC's powerbrokers, remaining tied with Neumann University for third place within the conference behind Cabrini 14-2, 9-1) and Gwynedd-Mercy (13-2, 8-1). Keystone is a half game back in fifth place.
Saturday was an example of team basketball at its finest. The Ravens had 16 assist on 31 shots made. They had 12 players break into the scoring column. And they managed to jump out in front of Centenary early with a 50-32 lead in the first half. They also carried a 36-24 rebounding advantage over the Cyclones.
Clemons has now had a strong stretch since the holiday break, averaging 18 points a game since January 6. He shot 6 of 8 from the floor on Saturday, also adding three rbounds, two assists, a block and a steal to the effort.
The Ravens travel to Clarks Summit on Monday evening to try to keep this stretch going. They will return to Alumnae Hall on Wednesday night to face Gwynedd-Mercy in what could be a potential playoff matchup in just over a month.
