Ravens early run results in rout against Notre Dame

BALTIMORE -- Jasmyn Parker's date with the 1,000 point club will have to wait until Saturday.
But more importantly for the Rosemont women's basketball team, the ability to get back in the win column after a brutally tough loss last weekend didn't have to wait that long.
The Ravens jumped out to a 33-5 lead after one quarter and never looked back, drubbing Notre Dame by a 95-49 margin on Wednesday night in a Colonial States Athletic Conference contest in Baltimore.
It was the second rout of the Notre Dame in over a month and it couldn't have come at a better time for Rosemont, who improved to 12-7 overall and continues to hold onto third place in the CSAC South standings with roughly three weeks left in the regular season.
Parker scored 10 points in limited action on Wednesday night, leaving her four shy of the 1,000 point mark that she will likely pass on Saturday against Cedar Crest back at Alumnae Hall.
The real scoring standout on Wednesday night, however, was Ke'alohilani Naone-Carter, who scored 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting while grabbing six rebounds and dishing out three assists. Her sister, Leilani Naone-Carter, added 14 in the win while Kyra Lewis (11 points) and Jayme Byers (10 points) added some scoring pop off the bench.
Rosemont forced 28 Notre Dame turnovers on Wednesday night while only turning it over 14 times themselves.
