IMMACULATA, Pa. - The weather may be chilled.
Rosemont's shooting from the outside on Wednesday night was downright frigid.
The Ravens saw their modest two-game winning steak come to an end during a 68-55 road loss to Immaculata University in a Colonial States Athletic Conference women's basketball game at the Mighty Macs Alumnae Hall.
The loss prevented Rosemont (13-8, 7-5 CSAC) from officially clinching a spot within the league playoff, which will start in less than three weeks.
The reason for the upset was simple: the Ravens couldn't buy a bucket from the floor. Their five starters combined to go 15-for-51 (29 percent) from the floor and just 2-of-14 from beyond the 3-point arc (14.3 percent). Even from the foul line, Rosemont shot a subpar 11-for-20 from the charity stripe (55 percent).
Ke'alohilani Naone-Carter scored a team-high 16 points while her sister Lelani Naone-Carter added 10. They were the only Ravens to break into double figures.
For Immaculata, Amber Ballinger scored 17 points. The Mighty Macs (5-16, 4-8 CSAC) also received double figure performances from Annie Kohutka (15), Dia Veneziano (14) and Emily Halloran (10).
Rosemont heads back on the road on Saturday afternoon when they face Clarks Summit.
