CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. -- Rosemont's women's basketball team is on the brink of getting their ticket punched to the Colonial States Athletic Conference playoffs.
The Ravens reduced their magic number to one on Saturday, posting a dominant performance in the second half during a 78-31 thrashing over Clarks Summit during a CSAC crossover contest in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Rosemont is now 14-8 overall and 8-5 in the CSAC, carrying a three-game lead over Immaculata with just three games remaining in the regular season. One more Ravens win or one more Mighty Macs loss with guarantee a spot in the post-season tournament.
Rosemont's remaining games are a home contest on Tuesday night against Neumann, a road game next Saturday at Cabrini and the season ending home game on Valentine's Day night against Cairn.
The Ravens were led by
Jasmyn Parker, who had all 17 of her points in the second half.
Jayme Byers scored 16 points while
Leilani Naone-Carter had 15 points and nine rebounds.
Shawn Dowd (11) and
Kira Lewis (10) also scored in double figures. Dowd had 10 rebounds while Lewis grabbed 11 boards.Â
Ayanna Thompson added seven assists to her team high total for the season.
