RADNOR, Pa. --
Jalil Myers played his best game of the season against the best team in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
It wasn't enough, however, to keep Rosemont from pulling the upset against Cabrini.
Myers scored 27 points and grabbed 20 rebounds, but the Ravens couldn't fight back from a 19 point deficit late before falling to the Cavaliers by an 88-83 margin Saturday in a CSAC contest in Radnor.
Rosemontis 14-9 overall and 9-7 in the CSAC with two home games left in the league schedule- a home game against Cairn on Wednesday and a Saturday home game against Keystone. They are currently in a three way tie in the loss column for fourth place with Immaculata and Keystone with Marywood a half-game back.
Myers set season highs in scoring and rebounds on Saturday in his strongest overall game of the year, going 12 of 16 from the floor while dominating the glass with 20 rebounds. He was able to play well against Cabrini's Tyheim Monroe, who scored 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.
But it was Cabrini's depth that proved too much for the Ravens. The Cavs got 18 points off the bench from Anthony Wright-Downing on 6 for 6 shooting. Overall, Cabrini had four players in double figures. Rosemont had three with
Mekhi Clemons (15) and Charlies Presley (12 points, seven assists) chipping in.
