ROSEMONT, Pa. -- Rosemont was able to hang tough in the first half against Neumann on Wednesday night.
The third quarter, however, proved to be a whole different story.
The Knights posted a 38-9 advantage in the third 10-minute segment and eventually rolled to a 89-65 win over the Ravens Wednesday night in a Colonial States Athletic Conference women's basketball contest at Alumnae Hall.
The Ravens are still on the cusp of earning a CSAC playoff berth with less than two weeks left to play, needing one win or one loss by Immaculata to earn a spot. But division leading Cabrini still stands in the way on Saturday afternoon before Cairn comes to Alumnae Hall for the regular season home finale next Wednesday on Ravens Rally Night.
Nafisa Saunders scored a game-high 36 by hitting 22 of her 25 shots from the foul line for the Knights, who improved to 15-7 and 11-2 in the CSAC.
Jasmyn Parker and
Shawn Dowd each scored 16 points to lead the Rosemont scoring effort.
