ROSEMONT, Pa. - Saturday afternoon started in wonderful fashion for the Rosemont women's volleyball team.
The rest of the day? Well, that didn't go so great.
After taking a riveting first set by a 29-27 margin, the Ravens would drop the next three games, the Ravens dropped the next three games to The King's College (NY) by 25-12, 25-22 and 25-16 margins on Saturday in the home opener at Alumnae Hall.
The Ravens fell to 0-2 after falling in three sets to Albright on Friday night. This was the Lions opener.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS: Ke'alohilani Naone-Carter had seven aces, 14 digs and 8 kills in a solid overall performance on Saturday afternoon.
Holly Brady added 11 kills for the Ravens in this game.
Isabella Sandmeyer had 26 kills for the Lions.
A GOOD START: Â The Ravens took their first set of the season on Saturday, clawing back from a deficit to post a 29-27 victory. After that, The Kings COllege played a cleaner game, able to avoid mistakes as Rosemont appeared caught in switches at different points.
THE WEEK AHEAD: Rosemont is off now until Thursday night where they will host Cheyney University. Game time will start at Alumnae Hall at 7 p.m. That will be followed on Saturday by a Tri-Match at Manhattanville College and Rutgers-Newark.
