Rosemont, PA- It was an evening full of ups and downs as the Rosemont Women's Volleyball team competed in two matches on Wednesday evening.
In their first matchup, the Ravens took on Penn State Brandywine and won the match 3-2. The Ravens put forth a solid team effort with every member of the team contributing. It was a record breaking match for
Alyssa Springer, who tallied a career high, 35 assists. This impressive statistic breaks the record for most assists in a single match. It was also a career-high match for
Ke'alohilani Naone-Carter, who tallied 18 kills in the match to help lead the Ravens to victory. The career highs did not end there.
J'Nea Jenkins had a career-high four blocks at crucial moments of the match. Sophomore,
Abigail Brooks also achieved a career-high in the match with 16 kills for the Ravens.
The Ravens struggled in their second matchup of the night losing to Wilson College 3-0. The Ravens came out to a slow start and had a hard time in serve recieve. Although it was a tough loss for the Ravens, senior
Ke'alohilani Naone-Carter's 10 kills tabbed her as the Rosemont College Women's Volleyball all time leader in kills. Naone-Carter now has 530 kills in her career , which surpasses the previous record of 529 kills held by Megan Whitman (2002-2006).
The Ravens will be back in action on Saturday, October 19th in an away matchup at 1:00 pm against College of Saint Elizabeth.
