Rosemont, PA- The women's basketball team took on the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College on Tuesday night and lost 97-64.
Rosemont trailed Brooklyn College 28-14 at the end of the first quarter. It was a rough start for the Ravens as Brooklyn College came out firing from three making 5 of 10 attempts in the first quarter. The Ravens went on a 7-0 run in the second quarter to cut the deficit to 8. The Ravens played with great energy in the 2
nd quarter and fought hard to get back into the game. Rosemont made 4 out of 5 three point attempts in the second quarter. The bench points were the difference maker in the first half as Brooklyn College had 21 bench points compared to Rosemont's 4. Ke'Alohilani Naone Carter led the Ravens with 17 points in the first half. Brooklyn College led 48-31 at halftime.
To start the second half, Rosemont brought the intensity, and went on a 6-0 run to cut the deficit to 15. Rosemont was outscored 26-21 in the third quarter. The fourth quarter, Ravens chipped away at the lead but it wasn't enough as Brooklyn College went on to win the game.
The Ravens were the more aggressive team and shot 20-38 from the line.
Ke'alohilani Naone-Carter finished with 30 points to lead all scorers.
Allison Berdel provided a spark on offense and finished with 9 points.Â
The women's basketball team is now 1-1.
Next up they face the University of Valley Forge on Friday, November 15
th at 7:00 pm.
