Rosemont, PA- The men's basketball team took on the Grizzly Bears of Ursinus College on Thursday evening and lost a hard fought game 80-78.

The Ravens came out with great energy to start the game and slowed down Ursinus by pressuring full court. The Ravens took an early lead, but Ursinus bounced back, shooting 44% from the field in the first half. It was a back and forth game as both teams battled hard. Marlon Sharpton made a buzzer beater three to end the first half. Rosemont trailed 37-35 at halftime. It was a pretty even game in the first half with 8 lead changes.

Rosemont was determined in the second half and quickly retook the lead at 44-41. Ursinus would take a six point lead, before Marlon Sharpton and Chris Briner hit back to back threes to tie the game at 52-52.

Ursinus  led 75-65 with four minutes left. Rosemont went on a 13-0 run to take a 78-75 lead. Marlon Sharpton made a go ahead three with 13 seconds left. Ursinus scored a quick layup to cut Rosemont's lead to 78-77. Ursinus quickly fouled and Marlon Sharpton missed his first free throw to give Ursinus the ball with 8 seconds remaining in the game. Ursinus came down the court, dribbled through the trapping Rosemont defense before Ryan Hughes launched a three and banked it in at the buzzer to win the game. 

Marlon Sharpton finished the game with 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists. Chris Briner finished the game with 19 points.
 
Rosemont falls to 1-5. Next up the Ravens face Desales University at home on Saturday, November 23^rd at 3:00 pm.
