ROSEMONT,PA- The Rosemont women's volleyball team looked much improved in their battle with the Washington College Shorewomen, but it was not enough to take away the win. The final score of the night was 3-0 (25-11, 25-19, 25-8). The Shorewomen had a significant size advantage over the Ravens and were able to use that to hammer down several kills.

 In the first set, the Ravens were able to take the lead putting them up 6-5 before losing six of the next seven points. A service error by the Ravens ended the first set 25-11.

The second set was competitive with some aggressive kills from Ke'alohilani Naone-Carter, who had seven kills on the night. The second set ended with a score of 25-19.
In the third set the Ravens found themselves in a 12-3 hole that they could not climb out of and they dropped the set 25-8.

 Alyssa Springer had a match-high of 10 assists, and Julianna Capece added four digs in the match.

Next up, the Ravens are on the road to New Yok on September 7, 2019 to take on the Kings College at 12:45 pm.
