Rosemont, PA- The men's basketball team matched up against the Eagles of the College of Saint Elizabeth on Monday night and lost 85-81.
The Ravens jumped out to an early 32-24 lead in the first half, but the Eagles would bounce back and tie the game.
It was a back and forth game, before Rosemont was able to go on a 7-0 run to end the first half.
Rosemont shot 59% from the field in the first half. Â The Ravens led 47-41 at halftime.
To start the second half, the Eagles went on a 15-2 run and led 56-49. Rosemont would fight back and trail 63-60 with twelve minutes left in the game.
Tyler Morgan knocked down back to back threes to tie the game at 66-66.
The Eagles would go on a 10-0 run to lead 76-66. Rosemont continued to fight back and cut the deficit to 83-81 with 1:30 remaining.
The Ravens had several chances to tie the game but were unable to do so.Â
Osaze Thornton led the team with 18 points and 5 rebounds.
Marlon Sharpton had 14 points, 8 assists, and 6 rebounds.
Tyler Morgan had 14 points for the Ravens and shot 4-7 from three.
Rosemont's bench provided a spark for the team and contributed 34 points. The Ravens were efficient from the free throw line shooting 85% for the game.
The men's basketball record is now 5-10 and 2-2 in Conference play. The Ravens will host Wilson College at home on Wednesday, January 15
th at 8:00 PM.
