DeLitta Hired as Head Women's Soccer Coach

Rosemont, PA- Rosemont College Athletics has named Kathleen DeLitta as it's next Head Women's Soccer Coach.

"We are excited to have Kathy on board. Her experience as a recruiter at RCBC will be very valuable in helping to grow the roster here at Rosemont. Kathy's approach to team building really resonated with our current team members during the interview process. I look forward to the connected and cohesive teams she will put out on 'the Gray'", said Athletic Director, Joe Pavlow. 

DeLitta comes to Rosemont College after a successful eight years leading the Rowan College at Burlington County Women's Soccer program as head coach.  Additionally in 2018 she found herself as an assistant coach to the RCBC Men's soccer team, helping to lead them to a stellar season that they finished ranked 18th in the country.

While at RCBC DeLitta has helped to steer the athletic and academic careers for many of her student-athletes.  For 8 years the program went to their Regional Championship tournament and DeLitta's team and players have received many awards under her leadership.  She has coached 2 United Soccer Coaches All-Academic players of the year, 9 United Soccer Coaches All-Eastern-Regional players of the year, 5 Women Athletes of the year, 3 All-Region XIX Players of the Year, and over 25 GSAC and Region XIX first and second team student-athletes. She was the 2012 Coach of the Year and received 5 United Soccer Coaches Team Ethic Awards throughout her tenure.  The RCBC women's team were Regional Champions in 2012, Regional Runners up in 2015, and GSAC Champions in 2012 and 2015.

In 2019 DeLitta turned her focus to help lead the Philadelphia Lone Star FC first women's team in the WPSL as an assistant coach and the first women coach for the club. The Philadelphia Lone Star FC women's team became 2019 Finalists of the WPSL Mid-Atlantic Conference in their first season.  

Coach DeLitta is also a head coach and trainer for the Rancocas Valley Soccer Club in New Jersey.  She currently coaches two teams and trains two additional teams.  She has been an active trainer and coach for several different clubs in the central and south New Jersey area.  She holds a National D license and is in pursuit of her National C License, she earned a United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Diploma and also holds a Goalkeeping Level 1 Diploma as well as many special topic diplomas such as Coaching Management, Mental Game, Systems of Play and Nutritional Demands of College Players diploma.

She received her bachelor's degree in Management with a concentration in Leadership in 2017 from American Public University along with Summa Cum Laude honors and is a member of the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society.  She received her Associates in Liberal Arts from Mercer County Community College in 2000.

DeLitta resides in Burlington, New Jersey with her husband, sons, 2 mini-goldendoodles and pet snakes.
