Late Match Comeback Leads to Ravens First Win

Box Score Media, PA-Wednesday night, the Rosemont Women's Soccer team earned their first season win with a strong comeback in the last nine minutes of the match to beat Penn State Brandywine, 2-1. 

Rosemont forced PSU Brandywine Goalkeeper, Kiiani Banks, to make 14 saves during the match with 23 total shots. Ravens defense held strong, only allowing Brandywine 9 shots during the game and Rosemont Goalkeeper, Emma Lindsay, recording 5 saves on the night.  

The second half was filled with action, starting with Brandywine's single goal in the 66th minute from a breakaway by Jolyn Walleekendeh. After several attempts, Rosemont finally broke through with two back-to-back goals in the last nine minutes of the match to bring home the win.  Junior MF Madison Boltersdorf ties up the match in the 82nd minute from a pass to the middle from Sophomore D Danielle DiMarco. One minute later, Sophomore MF Carly Camut scores the game winning goal with the assists from Junior Madison Boltersdorf and Senior Maciana Mazzeo.

The Ravens return to play Saturday, September 18th at 3:00 as they travel to Cabrini University, in Radnor, PA.
