Bryn Mawr, PA| The University of Rutgers at Camden took the travel across the bridge to Rosemont College to take on the ravens in Alumnae Hall.
How it Happened:
Rutgers from the tip came out hot, winning the tip and hitting a three to start the game. Starting on a 8-0 Rutgers offense was clicking until
Fatayn Wesley took the ball coast to coast for a layup making the game 8-2. Rosemont's defense struggled to get set as Rutgers pushed the pace at the start of the game getting out to a 15-2 lead four minutes into the game. As the Ravens battled to cut into the Rutgers lead,
Denelle Holly got hot at the end of the first half leading the Ravens on an 8-0 run at the six-four minute mark. The ravens would cut the lead to nine a minute before the first half ended but trailed by 14 at the half. (48-34)
The second half
Denelle Holly got the scoring started for the Ravens, but the defense continued to allow buckets for Rutgers. They would continue to control the game, not allowing Rosemont to get back within single digits.
Leading the way for the Ravens was
Denelle Holly with 21 points on 6-10 from the field, followed by
Kelton Warren with 10 points and
Mike Herrin with 9 points.
