Haverford, PA| Rosemont Made the Short Drive Down the Road to Haverford College to Play an Out of Conference Game in Haverfords Home Gym.
How it Happened:Â
From the jump Haverford got out to an early lead on the Ravens, back and fourth as Haverford would gain on their lead leading by 14 at a point in the first half. Rosemont was able to mount a run at the end of the first half 11-3 bring the game within 6 at the half 27-33, as Haverford would hold onto their lead over the Ravens. The second half was a score and answer half for both sides. The score continued to climb as Haverford held their six point lead through the half leading by eight points with 4' remaining. Rosemont would come alive going on an 8-0 run to tie the game at 64, as
Denelle Holly made a contested layup in the paint to take the lead by 2, Haverford would tie the game back up at 66. The next possession
Zaki Gomez would find himself with the ball with a defender closing out he up fakes and takes one dribble to the side, burying a jumper with his foot on the line to give Rosemont a two point lead with 30 seconds remaining. Rosemont would get their one much needed stop as Haverford would commit two fouls giving Rosemont a Victory 72-67. Rosemont was led by
Dejuan Taylor with 20 points and 4 rebounds, and
Denelle Holly with 18 points, 6 boards, and 4 assists.
