Box Score 2 York, PA - The Rosemont Ravens (5-5) took their record to a .500 mark with a road double-header sweep at PSU-York on Friday, March 17
th. The road team Ravens came back from a 4-0 deficit in Game 1 to win 8-1. Freshmen pitchers
Jack Lally and
Nick Skoufalos (save) completed the game on the mound pitching four combined innings giving up just one run.
The Ravens collected 11 hits, including three from senior captain
Colin McCormick, who also had two doubles and one RBI. His middle infield partner, short-stop
Luke Franklin, had two hits including a double and an RBI as well. The Ravens took the lead for good on a bases clearing double by sophomore catcher
Samson Gerner in the 5
th.
Game 2 saw a pitchers' duel end in a 2-0 win for the Ravens. Sophomore right-handed pitcher,
David McKinney, went 5.2 scoreless innings striking out 4 and yielding just three hits. He actually took a no hitter into the fourth inning. Freshman
Larson Greenlee collected the final four outs of the game to complete the shut-out and earn his first save of his collegiate career.
The Ravens scored their two runs in the 5
th inning. The first was on a heads up base-running play from second base by left fielder
Jamen Palladino on an errant play at 1B.
Colin McCormick added an important insurance run by knocking in first baseman
Ethan Wood with a two out single.
The Ravens travel to Centenary University on Saturday, March 18
th for a road double header starting at noon. Game 1 will be a 9-inning game and Game 2 will be a 7-inning game.
