The Rosemont Ravens (1-4) traveled to Aberdeen, MD to take on the King's College Monarchs
in a twin bill at the Ripken Experience on Saturday, March 4 th . The Ravens opened up with a 4-0
lead in game 1, before falling to the visiting Monarchs 12-6. Starting pitcher,
Zachary Nutley, went
four innings, giving up 2 runs (1 earned) on 5 hits, while striking out 4 batters.
Freshman
Jack Lally made his college debut by throwing a scoreless 7th while striking out 2 batters of his own.
The Ravens' offense was paced by first baseman
Ethan Wood who had a double, a triple, and
two RBI. Catcher
Samson Gerner went 2-3 in the game, also with two RBI.
The second game of the day was started by
David McKinney, who went four strong innings,
giving up 3 earned runs while striking out two batters. Freshmen
Nick Skoufalos and
Larson Greenlee both threw scoreless innings, but the Ravens dropped the game 5-4.
Ethan Wood added three hits to his stellar day at the plate, including a double and 2 RBI. Senior
captain
Dominic Fernicola had the other two RBI in the game on two hits of his own.
The Ravens travel to Aberdeen on Monday, March 6 th again to take on King's College in a 9-
inning game starting at 12pm.
