Bryn Mawr, PA| Notre Dame of Maryland Traveled to Bryn Mawr to Compete in a United East Matchup in Alumnae Hall.
How it Happened:
Notre Dame would start the game with a technical free throw, giving them an one point advantage to start the game. It would take a second for Rosemont to bounce back off the tip. A high scoring start to the game. Rosemont would tie the game at 24 at the 6:38 mark. Both defenses turned up their intensities as the half winded down, slowing down the scoring that came early in the first half. Notre Dame of Maryland would lead Rosemont by on at the half, 29-28. Rosemont would come out of the half and take the lead back fro the Gators,
Bruce Black would hit a big three pointer with six minutes into the half to give the Ravens a six point lead over the Gators 41-35. Rosemont's defense would hold the Gators, limiting their offensive looks and forcing them to take difficult shots. The game was tied at 47 with seven minutes remaining in the second half. Through the final stages of the game, Notre dame and Rosemont would have their own leads and chances to win the game coming down the stretch.
Denelle Holly would knock down a jumper with a minute twenty remaining in the game giving Rosemont a five point lead. Jared Sullivan with 0.4 remaining on the clock. A true Derrick White moment for Jared as he possessed the rebound and got the shot off before the buzzer. Rosemont would hold onto this lead and win by 2 over the Gators 61-59.Â
