Box Score 2 The Ravens (0-6) dropped both ends of a doubleheader at Rutgers-Camden on Sunday afternoon. The Ravens kept Game 1 close behind a strong starting pitching performance by sophomore Tim Shell. He went three innings and gave up just one earned run. The Ravens were only able to collect three hits, all singles, off the bats of freshman Shane Lennon, sophomore Brandon Peake, and junior Bobby DiDonato.
Game 2 was also a close affair for the first three innings behind starting pitcher Zachary Nutley, who went three innings and struck out four batters. The offense in Game 2 tallied 8 hits, including a double by senior outfielder Sean Smith. Smith had two hits in the game as did sophomore infielder Nicholas Skoufalos. Freshman Nick Vitale recorded his first college hit as a pinch hitter in the 7th inning. Graduate student Michael Denton, senior Ethen Otstott, and sophomore Patrick McCallister closed out the game throwing 2.1 shutout innings.
The Ravens are scheduled to host Marywood University on Wednesday, March 6th at Heuser Park for a 3:30pm doubleheader.
