DANVILLE, PA ---- On Thursday the men's golf team traveled to Northeastern Pennsylvania play in the Husky Invitational at Frosty Valley Resort. This tournament, hosted by Division II Bloomsburg University, featured a field of 40 individual golfers and 7 teams with Millersville University taking home medalist honors both as a team and individually. This event started promptly at 12PM with a shotgun start with the five Raven golfers starting on holes 4-8.
Rosemont finished in 7th place as a team.
Ryan Slee lead the way for Rosemont in tie for 24th place with a score of 85(+13). Following him was Senior Aidan Rigney with a score of 86(+14) finishing in a tie for 26th. Finishing with a score of 105(+33) in a tie for 36th was Junior Aiden Sommers. Coming in 38th place for the Ravens was Todd Berman with a score of 117(+45). Behind him was Junior Justin Olbrich with a score of 124(+52) ending in 39th.
Following the round Assistant Coach Sam Reynolds gave his thoughts on the tough day, "The team was met with wet conditions and tricky greens making it hard for them to get in a flow today. The gentlemen made strides at every turn recovering from bad holes but were unable to find many birdies. Looking to have a good week at practice and prepare for a better showing at conference championship on the 27th."
Next up for the Ravens is the last tournament of the year. The United East Conference Championship will take place place over two days beginning on Saturday April 27th with round two being played the following day on Sunday. This event will be played at the nearby Philmont Country Club with tee times TBD.
