The Ravens took a tough defeat at the hands of the Highlanders 15-7 in the final game of the United East series.
Offensively the Ravens were able to get some production totaling 8 hits as a team. They were led by junior
Chris Walton who went 2 for 4 on the day. Juniors
David McKinney and
Ryan McDonough each collected a hit. Each also added to the team's RBI totals with McDonough collecting an RBI and McKinney collecting 2. Senior
Sean Smith stuck to his hot-hitting ways as well going 1 for 4 with a deep drive to left for his second home run of the year and 3
rd as a Raven.
On the pitching side of things for the Ravens, it was a tough day at the office. Although it was tough there are some highlights to be noted. Sophomore southpaws
Larson Greenlee and
Justin Gonzalez each tossed productive innings, each allowing zero earned runs. Gonzalez also tallied a strikeout in his efforts. Junior
Alex Rausch made his second appearance of the year for the Ravens and pitched a strong 9
th inning. He faced 3 batters, and recorded 3 outs on only 9 pitches.
The Ravens look to put this one behind them as they look to Monday, April 8
th as they take on in-conference opponent Saint Elizabeth for the final game of their 3-game series. The Flock looks to sweep the season series at Heuser Park first pitch is at 6PM.
