Bryn Mawr, PA| The Rosemont Ravens Welcomed Bryn Athyn to Alumnae Hall for a United East Matchup.
How it Happened: Starting for the Ravens was #01 Zaki Gomez, #02 Bruce Black, #3 Kelton Warren, #13 Chris Taylor, and #15 Dejuan Taylor.
The Ravens would open up the with a three pointer from
Kelton Warren, followed by free throws from
Chris Taylor.
Zaki Gomez would make a layup in the paint assisted by
Dejuan Taylor, followed by a made layup by Taylor assisted by Gomez. Opening up the game on a 9-0 run the Ravens forced a timeout from Bryn Athyn. They would answer the Ravens run capturing the lead at the twelve minute mark. Rosemont would go back and forth with Bryn Athyn trading baskets through the middle of the first half.
Larry Lane would tie the game at 24 with a layup. The Lions would end the first half with a 19-3 run to take a lead over the Ravens going into the half.Â
Dejuan Taylor and
Chris Taylor would get the scoring started early for the Ravens to start the second half.
Brian Mordi would make a three five minutes into the half to cut the Lions lead to 14. The Lions would answer with two threes of their own to extend their lead over the Ravens.
Denelle Holly would keep fighting for the Ravens as he would get to the basket for an and one layup followed by a steal on the other end finding
Chris Taylor streaking for a layup cutting the Lions lead to 13. The Lions would extend their lead through the the next four minutes of the game taking all of the momentum from the Ravens. The Ravens would fall to the Lions 68-83 moving to 1-6 in the United East.Â
Larry Lane would lead the Ravens with 11 points off the Bench followed by Denelle Holly and Dejuan Taylor each with 10 points.
