Bryn Mawr, PA | The Ravens Welcomed Penn College Wildcats for Game Two of an United East Matchup in Alumnae Hall.
How it Happened: Starting for the Ravens was #01 Zaki Gomez, #02 Bruce Black, #04 Larry Lane, #13 Chris Taylor, and #15 Dejuan Taylor.
The Ravens offense would get off to a slow start as
Dejuan Taylor would get to the line to spark the Ravens offense for their first six points of the game.
Brian Mordi and Jared Sullvian would combine for the Ravens next twelve points as the would cut into the Wildcats lead. Penn College would score 45 in the first half as the Ravens trailed by eleven.Â
The Ravens would come out of the locker room on fire in the second half as they would shoot 58-8 from deep and 16-30 from the field in the half. Penn College would be up 13 before a 16-7 run to cut the Wildcats lead to four points 12 minutes remaining in the game (56-60).
Brian Mordi would make back to back threes for the Ravens cutting the Wildcats lead to two (62-64).
The Ravens would take the lead by one with a jumper from
Zaki Gomez. Coming down the stretch the Wildcats would take a small lead over the Ravens with two minutes remaining. The Ravens would have chances in the last 3 minutes but missed baskets led to resorting to the foul game.
Bruce Black would score five points in the final 10 seconds of the contest as the Ravens would fall to Penn College 76-77.
Brian Mordi would lead the Ravens with a 24 point Double-Double followed by
Dejuan Taylor with a 16 point Double-Double.
