Reading, PA | The Ravens Traveled to Reading to take on Penn State Berks in their Home Gym for an United East Matchup.
How it Happened: Starting for the Ravens was #01 Zaki Gomez, #02 Bruce Black, #13 Chris Taylor, #15 Dejuan Taylor, and #30 Brian Mordi.
The Ravens would win the tip and score on the first possession with a jumper from
Zaki Gomez. Four made threes for the Nittany Lions would give them the lead early in the contest. Scoring in bunches, the Ravens had a hard time slowing down the Nittany Lions offense in the first half.
Brian Mordi would make a jumper to cut the Nitanny Lions lead to seven before they would answer with a three to extend their lead to ten going into the half.
The Rosemont offense would play better in the second half shooting 65% from the field. The Ravens and the Nittany Lions would go back and fourth to start the second half trading baskets on each end. The Ravens would go on a run with nine minutes remaining led by
Dejuan Taylor to bring Rosemont within four points (59-63) with 6:49 remaining in the game. Turnovers down the stretch hurt the Ravens as Berks capitalized on the opportunities. Rosemont would fall to Berks 71-80.
Dejuan Taylor would lead the Ravens with 16 points and 7 rebounds, followed by
Chris Taylor and
Kelton Warren each with 10 points.
