The Ravens lost 13-1 to the Mustangs on Friday afternoon
Junior Jack Lally got his second start of the season for the Ravens. Lally threw 4.1 innings, striking out 4. Lars Greenlee came in to relieve the bottom of the 5th and struck out one batter. In the 6th, freshman Carson Pence got his first ever appearance going 1 inning and striking out 1 without giving up a run. Sophomore Nicholas Vitale pitched a scoreless 7th striking out 2. Lastly, Tyler Monzo threw the 8th for the Ravens.
Offensively, Jamen Palladino had a double in the top of the first inning. After taking third on a passed ball, Samson Gerner had a sac-fly to right to score the only run for the Ravens.
Head Coach Ross Trachtenberg said after the game: "We came out in the first inning with some great at-bats but really cooled off at the plate after that. Some real positives on the day were Jack's (Lally) 3rd and 4th innings and seeing both Carson (Pence) and Nick (Vitale) pitch so well in their first outings of the season."
